Terms and Conditions
The Terms and Conditions of Booking listed below are the basis of the contract between yourself and LGV Training Services Limited.
For clarification, by placing a booking and paying any amount greater than £100 you are entering such a contract.
You can choose to pay the full course fees upfront, or just a deposit which will secure your place on whichever course you specify. If paying the deposit only, the final balance becomes due when dates for the practical part of the course are confirmed.
If the course you require to book is a practical-only course then we require the full fee upfront, at the time of booking.
Payment is to be made in GBP/£ and no other currency.
Once a medical exam has been booked, it is non refundable. If you fail to attend, you will need to pay us a fee of £50 for a second medical exam to be booked.
The theory test appointment can be changed only as long as we are notified 3 clear working days prior to the date it was due to take place (for example we would to be notified on Monday if the theory was on Friday). If you fail to attend or if you are unsuccessful, DVSA will require a retest fee (varies between £11 - £60 depending on the test).
Once the dates for your practical course have been agreed and confirmed in writing via email, said course is non cancellable and the fee non refundable unless we are notified at least 2 weeks prior to the course starting, which would usually be a Monday. For clarification, if you are for example due to start on Monday 24th June, the last day you can amend this would be Monday 10th June.
In the unfortunate event that you would fail the practical test, DVSA will require a retest fee (either £40, £55 or £115 depending on the test). You would then need to pay us for the vehicle & instructor hire for the duration of the retest.
It is solely your responsibility to make sure you are always in possession of your original photo card driving licence with the correct entitlement for the course you have booked.
You have the right to cancel your course within 14 days from the date of your booking and you will receive a full refund.
As per the explanations above, if a medical exam or a theory test within less than 3 clear working days or a practical course within less than 2 weeks have been booked for you, it means it's likely we have already incurred the costs of these booking and as such the relevant fees will be deducted.
You also have the right to cancel your course after 14 days from the date of your booking, however in this case a cancellation fee equivalent to 60% of the value of the course will be charged.
Any refund - full or partial - will be returned within 10 working days via the same method of payment you used when booking the training course.
We endeavour to provide all of the arrangements that have been confirmed, but we must reserve the right to alter any practical training bookings if operational, weather or other considerations so dictate.
If we have to make a major change to your course, we will offer a suitable alternative if available, or 100% refund, if we are not able, in our opinion, to offer an alternative that is sufficiently comparable.
We reserve the right to terminate your training without reimbursement of fees if you are guilty of unreasonable or improper conduct or breach of the health and safety rules. We have a policy of absolute zero tolerance for suspected drinking and use of drugs, insulting and/or assaulting an instructor, racist or sexist abuse, knowing dangerous driving or intentional damage to our vehicles.
If you choose to abandon the practical course or simply not attend at the agreed time and/or date, you will not be eligible for reimbursement of fees.
Any training course booked with us is valid for 12 months - any requests after this period will not be honoured and the course fees will be considered forfeited. We might however allow an extension of the course if we are notified of exceptional circumstances prior to the course's expiry. Please note that this is exclusively at our discretion and if our prices have gone up since your booking date more than 12 months previously, you would be expected to pay the difference
